On August 22, 2017, at 1025 hours universal coordinated time, an Aviat Pitts S-2B, Norwegian registration LN-PTS, impacted the terrain following a loss of control while performing aerobatic maneuvers near Holmestrand, Norway. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was destroyed by impact forces.
