THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE ON LANDING RESULTED IN A LOSS OF CONTROL, SLIDING OFF THE RUNWAY INTO A ROCK COLLAPSING THE LANDING GEAR.
