The flight instructor reported that while landing with a crosswind the airplane bounced and while airborne she felt a wind gust. Subsequently, the airplane touched down and veered to the right into the wind. The flight instructor took control of the airplane and applied full left rudder then applied left brake. Despite her efforts the airplane ground looped, and the left wing contacted the runway surface resulting in substantial damage to the left wing. The flight instructor reported no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or anomalies that could have precluded normal operation. At about the time of the accident, the airplane was landing on runway 16R, with the wind variable from 230° to 270° at 6-8 knots.
