The pilot reported that during the take-off roll, the airplane veered to the left. The pilot put in right rudder to try to correct to the right. However, the airplane continued to the left, departed the runway, and came to rest in the grass. The fuselage was substantially damaged. A postaccident examination of the flight controls revealed nothing mechanically wrong with the airplane that would have precluded normal operations. The pilot did not return The National Transportation Safety Board Form 6120.1 – Pilot/Operator Aircraft Accident/Incident Report.
