The single-engine-rated pilot reported that, during a multiengine check ride, the fight examiner requested that he conduct several touch-and-go landings. During the landing roll, he mistakenly retracted the landing gear, and the airplane then skidded down the right side of the runway and came to rest at a taxi intersection. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
