On August 6, 2018, about 1045 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 172S airplane, French registration F-GTNV, lost radio and radar contact; the wreckage was located near Puy-de-Dôme Mazoires, France. The airplane was destroyed, and the three occupants received fatal injuries. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the French government.
