On January 22, 2016, at 1807 universal coordinate time, a Diamond DA42, Swedish registration SE-LVR, operated by Airways Flygutbildning, collided with the terrain in Vasteras, Sweden, following a loss of control. The flight instructor, the pilot receiving instruction, and one passenger were seriously injured. The airplane was destroyed. The local instructional flight departed from Vasteras, Sweden. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Swedish government.
