On July 11, 2016, about 1507 coordinated universal time, a Cessna TU206G airplane, Colombian registration HK2940, was destroyed when it impacted dense jungle near Charrasquera-San Jose del Guaviare, Colombia. The Colombian certificated pilot and four passengers were fatally injured. The flight departed Villavicencio (SKVV), Colombia, about 1357, and was destined for Mitú (SKMU), Colombia. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Investigación de Accidentes Aéreos Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia.
