An Austrian registered Shorts SC7 Skyvan, registration number OE-FDN, being operated by Pink Aviation Services Gmbh, suffered an uncontained failure of No.2 turbine wheel on RH engine during descend, resulting in damage to the right-hand forward sidewall fuel cell by debris of the turbine wheel, and subsequent fuel loss. The investigation is being conducted by the Air Accidents Investigation Institute (AAII) of the Czech Republic. The NTSB has appointed an accredited representative to assist the AAII's investigation as the state of design of the airplane powerplants.
