The Director General para la Prevencion e Investigacion de Accidentes Aereos of the Republica Bolivariana De Venezuela has notified the NTSB of an incident involving a McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration YV2971, which occurred on October 11, 2014. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacture and Design of the airplane. All investigative information will be released by the Director General para la Prevencion e Investigacion de Accidentes Aereos.
