The Government of Brazil (CENIPA) has notified the NTSB of an accident involving a McDonnell Douglas MD11F, which occurred on November 24, 2013. The accident investigation has been delegated to the Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung, German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU). The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the BFU in the investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Design and Manufacture of the airplane. All investigative information will be released by the BFU.
