On May 31, 2010, at 0852 coordinated universal time, a Cirrus SR-22, SP-AVC, was substantially damaged upon impact with terrain following a loss of control while on approach to the Bielefeld-Windelsbleiche airport (EDLI), Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. The pilot and three passengers were all fatally injured. The airplane had departed Kattowitz, Poland, and was on final approach to its destination at the time of the accident.
