On May 8, 2009, at 1959 UTC a Boeing 747-400, Korean registration HL7419, operated by Asiana Airlines lost an inboard trailing edge flap during approach to Frankfurt/Main Airport, Germany. There were no injuries on the scheduled flight from Seoul, South Korea. This accident is being investigated by the BFU Germany.
