According to an official with the Bahamian Air Traffic Services, a witness stated that he saw the pilot board the airplane and depart from Staniel Cay, Bahamas, to the southeast. The official further stated that inquiries as well as subsequent searches did not reveal any information as to the whereabouts of the pilot and the airplane. The aircraft and pilot are missing.
