DURING AN PRACTICE AUTOROTATION THE PILOT APPLIED TOO MUCH COLLECTIVE TOO EARLY AND THE HELICOPTER LANDED HARD RESULTING IN THE MAIN ROTOR BLADES FLEXING DOWN AND SEVERING THE TAILBOOM ASSEMBLY.
