THE STUDENT PILOT SAID THAT ON HIS SECOND SOLO FLIGHT, HE BECAME CONFUSED AS TO THE FUNCTION OF THE RUDDER PEDALS AND BRAKES. HE LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL ON THE LANDING ROLL-OUT, AND THE AIRCRAFT SWERVED OFF THE RUNWAY AND WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED.
