THE PILOT FLYING THE HOMEBUILT AIRPLANE ENCOUNTERED SEVERE TURBULENCE NEAR A THUNDERSTORM AND LOST CONTROL IN FLIGHT. THE AIRPLANE THEN DESCENDED UNCONTROLLED TO THE GROUND.
