WHILE IN NORMAL CRUISE FLIGHT THE CRANKSHAFT FAILED AT THE PROPELLER FLANGE AND THE PROPELLER DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT EXECUTED A FORCED LANDING TO A FARM FIELD. HE WAS UNABLE TO FLARE SUCCESSFULLY AND LOST CONTROL DURING LANDING.
