WHILE FLYING A PIPELING PATROL FLT 1,000 FEET AGL IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN, THE PLT ENCOUNTERED A DOWNDRAFT WINDSHEAR WHICH RESULTED IN AN UNCONTROLLABLE 2,000 FPM ACFT DESCENT FROM WHICH THE PLT WAS NOT ABLE TO RECOVER. THE ACFT IMPACTED IN ROUGH TERRAIN AND WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE. THE PLT SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES IN THE CRASH.
