THE STUDENT & INSTRUCTOR PLT (CFI) HAD FLOWN THE ACFT FROM ALBUQUERQUE TO BELEN, NM, & HAD SHUT DOWN THE ENG. DURING AN ENG START TO CONTINUE THE FLT ABOUT 20 MIN LATER, A FIRE STARTED IN THE ENG & THE ACFT WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE. THE SOURCE OF THE FIRE WAS NOT DETERMINED.
